A look inside my life in California (+ a few updates)

Hi Reader, This week I shared something a little different: a vlog of what my life actually looks like at home in California — not a Japan trip, not a travel guide, just real life between adventures.
If you’ve been wondering where the Japan travel guides from my spring trip are, don’t worry — they’re coming, just taking a bit longer than expected. Look for those at the end of July/August. In the meantime, I wanted to show more of the in-between: what I’m up to, where my head’s at, and what’s coming next. And speaking of what’s coming next: July is bringing an Oregon itinerary and vlog from the trip mentioned in my latest vlog. Additionally, both Oregon and Japan short-form content will be rolling out throughout the month. This is really the start of a new chapter for me: more lifestyle content, more LA and beyond, not just Japan travel guides. I’m excited for you to come along. One more small update: if you didn’t catch it on YouTube, I’ve also started writing book wrap-ups and reviews under “Remi’s Reads” (yes, the short-lived booktube channel name is back, just in written form). My second post, the 2026 Mid-Year Book Tag, is up now on Patreon and completely free to read.
